Spike Lee ain't having it - his thoughts on Gentrification in BK

Spike Lee perfectly expresses the side effects of gentrification in NY at Pratt Institue for Black History Month. When I lived off 145th in Harlem, I'd get off the train to go home and walk through one neighborhood lined with brownstones through another with nothing but halfway houses (my block) in almost minutes. Being a transplant, I didn't exactly experience the change in the city before and after gentrification -- so hearing a native like Spike share his views , on what can be an uncomfortable topic, in a funny and honest way is just awesome.
