Friends with You : Somewhere over the Rainbow @ The Mondrian

Okay, so I took a more than lengthy hiatus...I guess to figure out what I wanted to write about. I think I have better focus for 2014 but before I move on to that, here are some things from Basel I wanted to share... 

Miami Collective 'Friends with You' did a larger than life installation for Basel that included translucent blow up creations that changed as the light did. Some of  which floated around the pool at the Mondrian (which is art itself) , decorated by beautiful manicured alcoves and the atlantic in the background.

I don't really know what this blinged out ice cream truck was about but its the first thing you see coming into the hotel.

Although the drinks are super overpriced the whole vibe was pretty cool. I laid out on the checkered inflated beds that sat beneath a huge teardrop sipping those overpriced drinks until the sun began to set. Insane how the mood changes and what you see takes on a new light as the sun moves. The exhibit ends on January 15th and is free, so definitely check it out if you haven't already!
